This model is equipped with a canister to
prevent the discharging of fuel vapor into
the atmosphere. Before operating this
vehicle, make sure to check the following:
• Check each hose connection.
• Check each hose and canister for
cracks or damage. Replace if dama-
ged.

Engine oil and oil filter cartridge

The engine oil level should be checked
before each ride. In addition, the oil must
be changed at the intervals specified in
the periodic maintenance and lubrication
chart.

To check the engine oil level
Start the engine and let it idle for 3 minu-
tes.
Stop the engine and wait 3 minutes.
Remove the dipstick (1) and clean the
Canister
excess oil with a clean cloth.
Keeping the motorcycle upright on a flat
surface, insert the dipstick into the hole
without screwing it, remove the dipstick
and check the oil level.
If the level is lower than the minimum
mark (2), restore by adding engine oil up
to the upper mark (3).
TIP
Use only recommended oil.
