For outboard mounting,

secure adjustable handle (1) in
position A.

Tensioning the V-belt

Unscrew the hexagon bolts (2) and
slightly tighten the rear bolt (with
segment).

Use the combination wrench to turn
the tensioning segment (9)
clockwise until the belt is correctly
tensioned.

Then retighten the hexagon bolts,
starting with the bolt at the rear (with
segment), using the combination
wrench.
The V-belt is correctly tensioned
when it can be slightly depressed
(5 to 10 mm) in the middle between
the V-belt pulleys when lightly
pressed with the fingers.
Excessive wear will result if the
V-belt is overtensioned.
The V-belt tension must be checked

after approx. one hour of operation and
corrected if necessary on new machines

and when a new V-belt has been fitted.
