- Use caution when discarding sawdust! If the
sawdust removal port is plugged, you must turn
off the machine and unplug it. Only when the
chain stops can the chain sprocket cover be
removed and the plugged port cleaned. Never
touch the sawdust removal port until the ma-

- Turn the machine on only when it is placed on
the piece to be cut. Do not start cutting before
the machine reaches full RPM.
- Do not remove the machine from the cut piece
before the chain has completely stopped.
- Keep your workplace in order. A messy work-
place can cause a work injury.
- Beware of environmental factors. Do not leave
the machine in the rain, and do not use it in a
wet or humid environment. Ensure good lighting
at your workplace and do not use the machine
near fl ammable liquids or gases. Do not put the
hot machine into an environment where ignition
might occur, and keep the machine clean.
- Check the portable cord regularly and have it
replaced at an authorised service centre if dam-

machine or to pull the plug out of the socket.
Protect the cord from high temperatures, oil and
movement across sharp edges.
- Take good care of the tools. Only sharp, clean
tools allow you to work better and safer. Do
not use tools that are defective, blunt or of the
wrong size. Follow the instructions for mainte-
nance and replacement of the tools.
- If you are not using the machine, during repair
or tool replacement, unplug the portable cord.
- Before switching the machine on, check that the
plate is secured properly and that the chain is
correctly tightened.
- Never carry the machine with the chain mov-
ing.
- Avoid getting the switch stuck in the ON posi-

- Keep the grips and handles clean and free off
any oil, grease, resin, etc.
- In open areas, use only permissible and ap-
propriately marked extension cords. Regularly
check the extension cord and when it is dam-
aged, replace it immediately.
- During work, keep your body in a normal work-
ing position. Have a fi rm working stance and
always maintain your balance.
- You must check all safety covers and accesso-
ries, as well as the moving parts before each use
of the machine. All the parts must be properly
assembled, and all conditions for proper opera-
