2 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

2.1.2 General precautions

WARNING!
Always use adequate clothing as called for by the job. Wear tight clothing. Do not wear ties, necklaces or belts
which may get caught in the moving parts. Use a helmet, safety shoes and gloves.
Do not operate, service or repair the motorcompressor if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs which
could impair your alertness or co-ordination.
Only well trained and qualified personnel are allowed to use the equipment.
Keep children and animals away from the motorcompressor.
Do not alter the pilot valve, the safety valve and the air tank.
The user is responsible for injury caused to the bystanders and damage to the equipment.
Use the motorcompressor only for the jobs described in "Product Description". If used improperly, it may become
dangerous.
Wear heat-resistant gloves when working on the engine and the compressor head block.

2.2 Lifting procedures

Make sure the lifting equipment has an adequate capacity and is in good working condition (for the machine weight, refer
to "Specifications").
Never stand or pass under the machine while it is being lifted or handled.
Use forks which are long and wide enough so as to prevent the load from overturning.

2.3 Installation

Unless you are well trained and authorised, do not use or make adjustments to the instruments and control devices the
machine is provided with.
IMPORTANT!
The packing materials must be disposed of carefully in compliance with the current environment protection regula-
tions.

2.4 Use

WARNING!
The motorcompressor is not provided with brakes. When stopping, its position shall be stable and safe.
When moving the motorcompressor, the operator must hold the motorcompressor by the handle bars carefully
and constantly.
When using the machine, the slope inclination shall not be superior to 20%, as it may cause the engine and compressor
break.
Do not touch the head block (22) and delivery line of the compressor (33), the muffler (11), as these parts reach a very
high temperature during the operations and keep hot for a long time after stopping the machine.
Do not leave flammable material or nylon on or near the compressor (22) and the motor (10).
NOTE
At the end of every working day, always empty the air tank (par. 5.1.2).
