- INTRODUCTION

1.1 Consulting the Use & Maintenance Manual
For the operator's safety and in order to avoid damages, before any operation with the motorcompressor, it is compulsory to
read the Use & Maintenance Manual carefully.
These instructions describe how to operate the equipment safely, economically and in compliance with the current safety
regulations. Following these instructions helps avoid dangerous situations, reduce repair costs and down-time and extend the
service life of the equipment.
This manual is to be kept legible and in good condition. The operating and maintenance staff should have this manual at hand,
so that they can consult it whenever needed.

1.2 Symbols and qualifications of the operators

All operations described in this manual should be performed by qualified personnel and as outlined in the manufacturer's manual.
Each procedure described herein is accompanied by an icon which indicates the qualifications required for the operators.
The features required to identify the personnel qualifications are given below.
Operators
Person or persons entrusted with general installation, operation and adjustment, and routine maintenance, cleaning, repair or
transportation of the equipment.
Mechanics
An individual with specific mechanical skills, capable of carrying out installation and major servicing and/or repair operations as
indicated in this publication.
AUTHORIZED SERVICE POINTS
These are the centres, indicated by our sales staff, authorized to repair the products manufactured by CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.

Precautions to be taken in order to safeguard the operators and bystanders in the work area.
IMPORTANT!
Precautions to be taken in order to avoid problems with the motorcompressor and to operate it in compliance with the
current safety regulations.
WARNING!
Be careful with the hot parts! Wear heat-resistant gloves (see the instructions referring to the motors).

1.3 Compliance certificate

Any motorcompressors to be used in the European Union (EU) countries comply with the 98/37/EC regulations completely.
The compliance certificate is supplied by the manufacturer with the Use & Maintenance Manual.

1.4 Receiving the product

When receiving the product, make sure:
The product has not been damaged during the transport.
The product supplied is the same as that ordered. Check that all accessories have been delivered (refer to "Product
Description", "Specifications" chapter).
If problems arise, contact the manufacturer's Service Department quoting all details stamped on the nameplate (refer to "Product
Description", "Specifications" chapter).
