CHARGE
Switch the charger on the mode selector switch in rocker position "up" (LOAD).
Connect the charger to the mains socket.
The Error (1) indicator flashes when no or low discharged battery (battery voltage
less than 3V) or battery cables are connected incorrectly. Charging starts
automatically as soon as a functioning battery is connected, as indicated by the
yellow Load LED (2). When the green "Full" LED (3) is lit, the battery is fully charged
and the trickle charge is active.
The charging process can be interrupted at any time by unplugging the power plug
from the socket. Always disconnect the charger from the mains before removing the
battery cables to avoid sparking.
If you interrupt charging a vehicle-mounted battery, always disconnect the battery
cable from the chassis first, and then disconnect the other battery cable first.

SERVICE / SHOWROOM
Switch the charger on mode selector switch in rocker position "middle"
(SERVICE / SHOWROOM). Connect the charger to the mains socket.
In the service / showroom mode, the charger supplies a constant voltage and
supplies the electrical system when:
a) an inspection / repair / service / service on the vehicle must be performed or the
vehicle is in a showroom.
In this position, the charger compensates the power consumption of the vehicle until
it reaches its maximum rated power (buffer operation).
b) the battery is disconnected. This avoids data loss in the on-board computer of the
vehicle (backup operation).
The on-board network capability is guaranteed in all operating situations, including
during the connection and disconnection to the battery.
After connecting the battery and the power cord, service operation starts
automatically. This is indicated by simultaneous illumination of the green and yellow
LEDs. The red error LED (1) flashes when no or low discharged battery (battery
voltage less than 3V) or battery cables are connected incorrectly.
If the current charging current exceeds the value of 40A, the device has reached its
capacity. If a higher power consumption is to be expected, the device must be
replaced by a more powerful device.
