SHOCK ABSORBER ADJUSTMENT
The rear shock absorber must be adjusted according
to rider or rider + passenger weight, and ground
conditions.
Perform the operation as follows:
with the motorcycle on the ground in vertical position,
-
measure the distance (A);
take the normal riding position on the motorcycle
-
with all your riding equipment;
with the help of another person, measure the new
-
distance (A);
the difference between these two measures is the
-
LOWERING of the rear motorcycle part.
Recommended lowering is 25/30 mm (0.98/1.18 in);
to achieve the right lowering based on your weight,
-
adjust the shock absorber spring preload as
described to the side.

WARNING
The shock absorber adjustment affects
the stability and handling of the vehicle;
therefore, it is advisable to proceed with
care after a change to the standard
calibration. In any case, it is advisable to
measure a reference value "A" before any
changes.
WARNING
Never disassemble the shock absorber, as it
contains pressurised gas. For major service
operations, contact the SWM Dealer.
