Charging the Unit

The appliance is operated by an integrated NiMH battery. To charge the battery, proceed
as follows:
1. Connect the adapter plug to the adapter port on the bottom of the appliance.
2. Plug the power adaptor into wall outlet.
• Charge the unit before first use for 10-12 hours.
NOTE:
• The indicator light remains red during the charging process.
• The charge indicator does not indicate the state of charge of the rechargeable
battery.
• After initial use, do not charge the battery for longer than 10 hours at one time.
CAUTION:
After 10 hours always disconnect from mains power supply.
NOTE LIFEFIME RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
You can extent the lifetime of the rechargeable battery by following these steps:
• Only charge after the battery is nearly exhausted.
• Do not charge for more than 10 hours.
• Charge the unit at temperatures between 0° and + 40°C.
Changing the attachments
1. Press the release buttons (4) and remove the attachment.
2. Plug the other attachment onto the motor housing. To do so, apply gentle pressure.
NOTE:
The two attachments only fit onto the motor housing in one position. If the attachment
does not click into place after gentle pressure, turn the attachment.
