8.4.2 Configuring the BRI/PRI Trunk
1 Select PRI or BRI Trunk.
2 Machine ID - Leave this field at its
default. This preconfigured name
identifies the X6004.
3 Group Name and Description -
Name this connection. Use
alphanumeric characters; spaces are
not allowed. The Description is
optional.
4 Option - This is how the system
handles incoming calls. Fields vary
depending on the option you select.
Refer to Section 8.4.1.
• DDI (Direct Dial In) - Fill in your Direc-
tory Number when you select DDI in
the Option field. When you make a
call over this outbound line from an
extension that is NOT listed in the DDI
mapping table (see step 7), this is the
number that displays on the callee's
caller ID.
• MSN - Enter a number and select the
physical port to which the ISDN tele-
phone is connected.
5 Available/Used Trunk - You must
select at least one trunk from the Available Trunk. The Used Trunk field lists all of the
X6004's ISDN trunk lines currently used by this outbound group.
6 Click Next if you selected DDI or Direct in step
this ISDN Trunk connection if you select AA or MSN.
7 Fields vary in this screen depending on the option you select in step 4.
