Moving wire lane, installation of control unit
1.
Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
2.
Remove cover screen on boot entrance edge and the boot floor cover. Loosen right rear side
panelling, remove left side.
3.
Drill a hole (40 mm) in a suitable place in the left read side in the spare wheel well. Smooth off
the edges and protect with rust-proofing. Let dry.
4.
Secure the control unit and the additional relay base in the rear left tail area (below the tail light)
with the Velcro strip.
Insert the socket wire lane with the 12-pin plug into the control unit.
Lay the socket end of the wire lane from the control unit to the spare wheel well and further out
through the leadthrough hole to the power socket retaining plate.
Put the socket seal in place, join inner part and microprocessor connection with the socket
casing and screw onto the holder with the screws provided.
5.
Lay and connect the wire lane as follows.
Insert 18-pin plug into the control unit and connect the 2-pin connection of the wire lanes. Lay the
wire lane labelled "left" to the left tail light and the wire lane labelled "right" to the right tail light
underneath the vehicle's boot entrance edge to the right rear light.
6.
Remove the plugs from the rear lights and connect the corresponding plug of the electrical system
to the rear lights. Adapt the plugs of the vehicle wire lane with the corresponding sockets of the
electrical system. Secure the two brown - brown/white earth wires with the ring eyelet on the
vehicle earth below the left tail light (8).
Warning! Pay attention to proper conductibility.
7.
Lay the lines with the 20-pin plugs further on the left side to the top left of the boot's front wall in
order to connect it there with the corresponding plug of the vehicle's wire lane. For that separate
the connection and connect with the appropriate counterparts of the wire lane.
8.
Run the two continuous positive wires (red, red/black) to the battery (see wiring diagram).
Clip each of the two continuous positive wires into one of the supplied fuse holders.
There are two red wires for the continuous positive connection supplied in the accompanying
packaging. Clip the contacts of the two red wires into the free sockets on the fuse holder. Clip
the enclosed yellow secondary locking mechanism into the fuse holder. Ensure that the contacts
are sitting properly.
Connect the ring eyelets to the positive terminal of the battery, plug the fuse (15A) into the fuse
holder and place cover onto the fuse holder, insert additional relays into the holder.
9.
Connect the 4-pin plug near the right tail light with the corresponding part of the vehicle's wire
lane and secure the placed wires with cable binders.
