Moving wire lane, installation of control unit
1.
Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
2.
Dismount the left and right tail light, remove the plug shell from the lights, remove the fenders at
the left hand and right hand side beneath the lights and pull the silver strips off the sleeper holes.
3.
Fit on the socket sealing and connect the socket according to the wiring diagram.
Fit together the inner part with the socket housing, put the socket sealing in place and screw
socket onto the holder with the enclosed screws. Make sure the seals sit properly.

Lay the wire lane with the colours grey/red, grey/yellow,... along the cross brace and through the
hollow spaces to the right tail light. Snap the vehicle's 6-pin plug into the matching counterpart of
the wire lane, place the remaining shell plug on the rear light.
5.
Lay the wire lane with the colours grey/black, yellow and the 12-pin plug ... along the cross brace
and through the hollow spaces to the left tail light, snap the vehicle's 6-pin
plug into the matching counterpart of the wire lane, place the remaining shell plug on the rear
light.
6.
Use the ring eyelet to attach the brown and brown/white earth wire to the vehicle's earthing point
below the left tail light.
7.
Assembly / Continuous power supply of the control unit :
Affix the control unit to the left sleeper with Velcro tape.
Plug the 12-pin line set plug into the control unit.
Lay the long red single cable along the bottom of the vehicle to the front.
Lock the flat plug receptacle of this cable and the red single cable provided into the fuse holder,
install yellow clip, install fuse and put cover on.
Connect the wire to a suitable +12V supply line or screw it directly onto the battery plus terminal.
Ensure that the wire is not pulled too tight and check that the fuse holder is properly secured.
8.
It is possible to deactivate the parking aid for vehicles in towing mode. For this, lay the single
brown/white wire at the right rear light to the parking aid control unit and connect at the 16-pin
plug to pin 5.
Note:
For the 13-pin line set the socket functions can be extended with an extra kit. This is available in
automotive supply stores as Westfalia Item No. 300 025 300 113.
Reconnect the earthing wire to the battery.
Check all functions with a towed vehicle or with a suitable testing instrument (with load resistance)!
Secure all wire lines with cable binders.
