CHAPTER

5.1 GENERAL

"KES 2" is made of materials that are highly resistant to wear and to external agents. Despite
this, the conditions of use make it necessary to perform maintenance and, in particular cases,
even repairs.
Important: Maintenance and repairs shall be recorded on a designated register, an
example of which is shown in chapter 10.

5.2 MAINTENANCE

Maintenance operations that must be performed by the user are:
- cleaning of metallic parts with a wet towel,
- rinse the rope with warm drinkable water.
Leave the device with the handwheel (F) upwards and the rope to dry, avoiding exposition
to direct sunlight.
Important, the user shall avoid to:
- dry the device and the rope on a heat source or in a dryer,
- use chemical products to wash or lubricate the device.

5.3 REPAIRS

Repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer only.
Users are allowed only to replace the parts mentioned in paragraph 3.5 with new and
original parts.
