l) disconnect, from the line, the fall arrester of the injured person,
m) the injured person evacuation can be accomplished through:
- abseil:
a) while holding the handwheel (F), let the rope out the rope clamp (E) and in the pigtail bolt
(D2) – fig. 9,
b) release the handwheel (F),
c) abseil letting the loose rope slide.
- lift:
a) spin the handwheel (F), using the crank (G) when appropriate, and every turn, tighten the
loose rope – fig. 11.
Attention:
- while lifting both the device and the rope are more stressed than while descent /
abseil,
- check with great care the rope wear, particularly locate presence of excessive fluff,
enlargement and hardening.
Important: while practicing avoid to carry out more lifts on the same rope part.
