will be displayed on the Heart rate
line. If, at any time during this minute,
you decide to abandon this test then
press the "Test" button and this will
take you back to the main screen.
When the minute is up, the electronic
device will work out the difference and
your fi tness rating will be displayed up
on the screen: "F1, F2,..., F5, F16;
where F1 is the best (fi tness
"Excellent") and F6 the worst (fi tness
"Very Poor"). Pressing the TEST
button will take you back to the main
screen, where the functions will be in
the same mode as when the TEST
began.
The comparison between the worked
heart rate and the recovery heart rate
provides a fast, simple method of
gauging how fi t you are. Your fi tness
rating is a guideline that shows you
how fast your heart recovers after
physical exertion. If you exercise
regularly then you will see your fi tness
rating improve.

HAND-GRIP
INSTRUCTIONS/USE(PULSE)
On this model the pulse rate is
measured by placing both hands on
the sensors (R), located on the
handlebar, as shown in Figure 4.
When both hands are placed on the
sensors the heart symbol on the right-
hand side of the screen, marked
PULSE, will begin to fl ash and after a
few seconds a heart rate reading will
be displayed. If both hands are not
placed correctly as shown in fi gure 5
then the pulse function will not work.
If a "0" appears on the screen or the
heart symbol does not fl ash then
make sure that both hands are placed
on the sensors and that the connectors
(54-55) and (54a-55a) are connected at
the back of the electronic unit.
