Step 5: Connecting the AC
Power Cord (Mains Lead)
Before connecting the AC power cord (mains
lead) of the subwoofer to a wall outlet (mains),
connect all the speakers to the subwoofer
(page 15).

wait about 20 seconds before turning on the power by
pressing "/1.

Step 6: Calibrating the
Appropriate Settings
Automatically
(Auto Calibration)
This subwoofer is equipped with D.C.A.C.
(Digital Cinema Auto Calibration) Technology
which allows you to perform automatic
calibration as follows:
• Check the connection between each speaker
and the subwoofer.
• Adjust the speaker level.
• Measure the distance of each speaker to your
listening position.
• Measure the frequency characteristics.*
* The measurement result is not utilized for signals
with a sampling frequency of more than 96 kHz.
The D.C.A.C. is designed to obtain proper sound
balance in your room. However, you can adjust
the speaker levels and balance manually
according to your preference. For details, see
"Setting the speaker level" (page 57).
