Electric connections and safety

General warnings

The installer is responsible for choosing wires with characteri-
stics and nominal section that are suitable for the specifi c current
input of the spa (see pre-installation instructions).
The cable path, choice of materials and most suitable installation
solutions are left to the professional knowledge and experience of the
installer; it is his responsibility to guarantee and certify the installation.
Make the connection as shown on in
NOTE: in models equipped with an audio system, connection
of the power cable is to be made in the junction box. The jun-
ction box may be removed from the support bracket to make
the cable easier to handle.
To ensure the degree of protection against water as required
by standards, a cable clamp has been installed to make connec-
tion the electrical system easier.
The installer must connect the phase wire to the correct ter-
minal and the neutral wire to terminal N (in the order indicated).
He must also connect the earth wire to the terminal identifi ed
by the symbol
, taking care not to damage the components
inside. When installation is complete, the cable clamp and the
cover of the box must be hermetically closed.

the consumption limiter, the system software must be confi gured

NOTES
- When I2 is 0, electrical consumption of the spa is limited to 16A. Un-
der this condition you can simultaneously turn on a hydromassage
pump at low speed and the heater. When you turn on the pump at
high speed, the heater is turned off .
When I2 is 1, maximum electrical consumption is selected. In these
conditions it is possible to activate both the hydromassage pump at
high speed and the heater.
- It is not advisable to activate the consumption limiter if the spa is in-
stalled where temperatures often drop below 0 °C because this limits
the "Smart Winter" anti-freeze protection (see related chapter).

Electrical safety

The Jacuzzi® spas are safe products, manufactured in com-
pliance with standards EN 60335.2.60, EN 61000, EN 55014
and tested during production to ensure user safety.
Installation must be carried out by qualifi ed and authorized
personnel, in compliance with current national provisions.
It is the responsibility of the installer to select materials
based on their intended use, to carry out work properly,
to check the condition of the system that the unit will
be connected to and that it ensures safety of use also
concerning maintenance work and the possibility to
examine the system.
The Jacuzzi® spas are class "I" appliances and therefore they
must be permanently connected, without any intermediate
connections, to the electrical system and to the protection sy-
stem (earth system).
The electrical system of the building must be provided
with a 0.03A diff erential switch and with an effi cient
protection (earth) circuit.
Check for proper operation of the diff erential switch by
pressing the TEST button, which should trip.
Parts incorporating electrical components, except for
remote control devices, must be located or fi xed so that
.
they cannot fall into the bath.
Parts containing live parts must be inaccessible to a per-
son in the bath.
For electrical connections, the installation of a multiple-pole
section switch is compulsory (refer to the pre-installation infor-
mation provided with the product). It must be positioned in a pla-
ce that complies with safety regulations and, in any case, which
cannot be reached by those using the spa.
It is mandatory to comply with this instruction. Any other
procedure is prohibited.
The aforementioned omnipolar switch must ensure an ope-
