FOUR-AXIS KNEE JOINT WITH LOCK 1M102V-P6
A) USE
This knee joint is designed for patients :
-
who are moderately active and whose weight added to any load being
carried does not exceed 125 kg
-
who can progressively learn to walk " freely " during rehabilitation.
-
who need an improved stability due to their activities (walking on very
rough grounds,...).
Caution : This knee must be used only in the conditions indicated above.
The lock can be removed by a CPO if the patient does not use its function
any more (Please see § K : TRANSFORMATION IN A FREE KNEE).
B) CONNECTIONS (Fig.1)
This knee can be assembled proximally (1) to any link piece for PROTEOR
standard knee of P6 range (up to 125 kg) and distally (2) to any Ø 34 mm
tube for prosthesis (1G01-P6, ...).
C) ALIGNMENT (Fig.1)
We recommend the alignment shown opposite.
D) EXTENSION ASSIST ADJUSTMENT (Fig.2)
Tighten or loosen screw 5 with a flat blade screwdriver to achieve the desired
extension force.

EXTENSION BEARING ADJUSTMENT (Fig.2)
Caution : This adjustment affects the knee geometry and therefore the
alignment. Undoing screw 6 improves flexion safety, but makes knee flexion
harder. Make that adjustment with a 3 mm hex wrench when the patient
weight is applied to the prosthesis in order to keep the bearing correctly in its
housing.

JOINT FRICTION ADJUSTMENT (Fig.2 and 2-1)
Adjust only the two screws of the right side of the knee. Any
adjustment made on the left side of the knee could damage the knee
function.

Unlock screw 3 with a 2 mm hex wrench.

Screw in or out the main screw 4 with a 4 mm hex wrench to achieve
the desired adjustment
b)
Then screw in screw 3 with a 2 mm hex wrench (tightening torque
2,5 N.m)
G) RECOMMENDATIONS
To eliminate noise in the cosmetic foam cover, do not use talcum, because it
could damage the knee function and reduce the product life. Use preferably a
silicone spray.
H) MAINTENANCE
Only the extension assist (ref : 1M10275) can be replaced.
