INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Insert the threaded end of the disposable tip into the distal end of
the shaft of the hand piece and hand tighten the tip clockwise
until it is tight and secure.

WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS

• A thorough understanding of the principles and techniques
involved in laparoscopic and electrosurgical procedures is
essential to avoid shock and burn hazards to both patient and
medical personnel and damage to the device or other medical
instruments.
• The product is sterile unless the package is opened or
damaged.
• Do not use if package is opened or damaged. Examine this
device prior to use, do not use if damage is found.
• Do not reuse or resterilize.
• Not intended for use with non-Microline, third party
handpieces.
• This single patient use device has not been designed with the
intent of reprocessing (cleaning, disinfecting/sterilizing) and
used on another patient.
• Reprocessing and/or resterilization may compromise the
integrity of the product which may result in its malfunctioning
and unintended patient injury.
• The physical characteristics and quality of this device may be
adversely affected and the device may not remain safe and
effective for its intended use when reprocessed and/or
resterilized.
WARNINGS WHEN ACTIVATING FOR ELECTROSURGERY
• Be aware that all exposed metal on the device is capable of
treating tissue when the device is activated. Use caution to
avoid inadvertent treatment of tissue.
• A thorough understanding of the principles and techniques
involved in electrosurgical procedures is essential to avoid
shock and burn hazards to both patient and medical
personnel or to avoid damage to the device or other medical
instruments.
• Skin-to-skin contact (for example between the arms and body
of the patient) should be avoided, for example by insertion of
dry gauze.
• The patient should not come into contact with metal parts
which are earthed or which have an appreciable capacitance
to earth (for example operating table supports, etc.).
• Use the device with caution in the presence of pacemakers,
as electrosurgical devices may cause interference with
pacemakers or other active implants.
• Place any monitoring electrodes being used as far away as
possible from the device to avoid electrical interference with
monitoring equipment.
o Avoid needle-monitoring electrodes.
