INTRODUCTION
These assembling instructions describe how to assemble and dismantle the covers protecting the
joints of the OdrA knee brace.
An incorrect installation of the protective covers may affect the functions of the orthosis.
Please follow the instructions below.
ASSEMBLING THE PROTECTIVE COVERS
Use a small cutter plier to remove the excess of plastics caused by the injection.
Step 1 (see fig.1 - page 5)
Place the female protective cover «F» on an upright. The larger tightening shaft must come
into the corner as indicated on the drawing.
Check that the upright is positioned correctly at the bottom of the slot of the protecting cover.
Step 2 (see fig.2 - page 5)
Place the male protective cover «M» on the upright. Have the rods of the male cover match
the shafts of the female cover. Firmly press on each rod. You must hear a « clack » that
means that the two parts are correctly fitted together.
Step 3 (see fig.3 - page 5)
Place the screw into its housing. Using a cross-point screwdriver, gently tighten the screw
until it locks.
Once the protective covers are assembled, they must not move relative to the upright. Otherwise
press the rods in their shafts further and then tighten the screw again.
Finishing
Place the Velcro precut round piece on the medial side of the protective cover of the medial
upright. Then fix the condyle pad at this location.
Stick the two labels on the lateral protective covers.
DISMANTLING THE PROTECTIVE COVERS (see figures of page 6)
Step 1
Use a cross-point screwdriver to undo the screw and remove it from its housing.
Step 2
Using a small flat screwdriver as a lever, remove the rod from the posterior shaft which is the
larger and more accessible.
Do the same with the anterior upper rod and with the anterior lower rod.
