different levels.
• P lease ensure that there is a minimum distance
of 4 m between the device and open fireplaces
and cookers, etc.
Operation
Silencing the device:
All D 110 devices will emit a loud, intermittent sound
when the alarm is triggered. If you briefly press and hold
down the button for approx. 1 second on the device
that initiated the alarm, all the other D 110 devices
will also automatically cancel the alarm after a maximum
of approx. 30 seconds for a period of approx. 10 to 13
minutes. If you briefly press and hold down the button for
approx. 1 second on the D 110 detector receiving the
signal, only this device will be muted.
Test:
If you press and hold down the button for approx. 1
second, the D 110 will trigger a test alarm and will then
revert to standard mode.
We recommed that you allow a 5-10 minute interval
between tests to give the radio system a chance to
process all information and radio signals.
Warning!
• I f you hold the button down for longer than 2
seconds, the D 110 will enter programming
mode. The device will revert to standard mode
after 60 seconds. Please refer to the section
entitled Creating a radio group
• I f you hold down the button for approx. 5
seconds or more, this will delete the settings
for the radio group and the D 110 will revert
to the factory settings in standard mode. Alarm
signals and fault signals will not be transmitted
to other D 110 devices (stand-alone operation).

Test/Maintenance
We recommend that you appoint a service provider
with trained specialists in smoke detector planning,
installation and maintenance when it comes to carrying
out maintenance work on the device.
The test function can be used to test the device according
to the DIN EN 14604 standard and includes a battery
function test, electronic smoke chamber test, electronics
test, etc. A test should be performed at least once a year
(with a maximum fluctuation range of +/- 3 months)
in accordance with current local standards for smoke
detectors (e.g. the DIN 14676 in Germany), as well as
each time the battery is replaced. To carry out the test,
press and hold down the button (Fig. 5.1) for approx. 1
second. The device will emit a loud, intermittent alarm
(approx. 85 dB/3m). When necessary (usually about
once a year), wipe the device with a clean, dry cloth and
carefully clean the outside with a vacuum cleaner. Check
to see whether there are any objects within a 0.5 m radius
of the device, as these may prevent smoke from entering
