Programming
You only need to program the device if you plan on
linking several D 110 detectors by radio. If you would
like to operate the detector in stand-alone mode, please
proceed to the section entitled Installation.
In order to program the detectors, all D 110 devices
must first be commissioned as explained in the previous
section. The red LED on each of the D 110 devices will
flash approx. every 30 seconds (Fig. 5.1).
There must be a minimum distance of approx. ½ m
between each of the D 110 detectors.
Creating a radio group
Press and hold down the button on one of the D 110
devices for approx. 2-3 seconds. The red LED will start
flashing approx. once per second. Release the button.
The D 110 device will remain in programming mode for
approx. 60 seconds.
Then, immediately press and hold down the button on
one of the other D 110 devices for approx. 2-3 seconds.
The red LED will start flashing approx. once per second.
Release the button. The D 110 device will remain in
programming mode for approx. 60 seconds. This will
automatically add both D 110 devices to a radio group.
The entire programming process cannot last any longer
than approx. 60 seconds.
If programming was successful, the red LED will light up
continuously for 2-3 seconds on both D 110 detectors.
If the red LED does not light up continuously for 2-3
seconds on both D 110 devices after a period of approx.
60 seconds, this means that the programming process
failed and the D 110 devices will return to standard mode.
If this happens, you will need to repeat the programming
procedure.
You can assign a maximum of 30 D 110 devices to a
single radio group.
Extending an existing radio group
To extend an existing radio group, choose one of the
D 110 devices from the relevant group and set this to
programming mode by pressing and holding down the
button for approx. 2-3 seconds. The red LED will start
flashing approx. once per second. Release the button.
The D 110 device will remain in programming mode for
approx. 60 seconds.
Then, immediately press and hold down the button on
the D 110 device you would like to add to the group for
approx. 2-3 seconds. The red LED will start flashing
approx. once per second. Release the button. The D 110
device will remain in programming mode for approx. 60
seconds. This will automatically incorporate the D 110
device you want to add into the existing radio group. The
entire programming process cannot last any longer than
approx. 60 seconds.
Creating an additional radio group
Follow the instructions provided in the section entitled
Creating a radio group. Simply program the D 110
devices that you want to include in the additional radio
group. In doing so, be sure not to incorporate any D 110
devices from an existing radio group.
You can create up to 8 independent radio groups.
