Charging mode
Connect the charger to the AC Supply. Press the button (A) to switch it ON, the LED
(5) of the charge mode (6V/2A) will light. To choose the operation mode press and re-
lease the button (B) until the desired mode indicated by the LEDs (5-8) is selected.
The Error indication (3) will blink in following cases:
- if no battery is connected
- deep empty battery is connected
- 12 V Battery connected in 6 V mode operation
- incorrect connection of the battery cable
The charging starts automatically as soon as an operational battery is connected. If
the indication "Battery Voll/Ready" (1) lights, the battery is full and the float current
charging mode became active. The charger can be switched off at any time by pres-
sing the button (A) or by disconnecting the AC Supply cable of the socket.
- Always switch off the charger before disconnecting the battery cable to avoid
sparking.
- Always disconnect first the chassis cable terminal and then the other one in the
battery when charging batteries in vehicles.
CAUTION! The Case of the unit is normally hot in the operation because the case is
used for cooling the electronics.
Service mode
The SERVICE – Mode is selected by a 5 seconds pressing of the button (B) when the
LED (8) starts blinking. With that the unit will supply the vehicle electrical system
with a constant voltage in the following cases:
a) a inspection or maintenance in the vehicle will be done. In this mode the unit will
supply the vehicle up to the maximum current accepted by the unit. If the service
need more current, the LED (8) will blink faster. Over current should be immediately
reduced as the unit can not support the correct voltage with over current.
b) The battery will be disconnect. In this case no loosen data in the internal computer.
The internal electrical system will be supported in any situation even when no battery
is connected.
The Error indication (3) will blink in the following cases:
- if no battery is connected.
- 12 V battery mode with a battery with less than 3 V (deep empty).
- 12 V Battery connected in 6 V mode operation.
- incorrect connection of the battery cable.
The battery charging starts immediately after the function mode is selected.
