• -04REG-: 4 days to the next regeneration
• F10: the regeneration will be performed once every 10 days
Pressing the
+
key you will be able to see at what time the
regeneration will begin (paragraph 5.3)
If the display doesn't indicate any water softener model (05
- 08 - 12), it means that the duration of regenerations were
modified (B3 - B5 - B7) (paragraph 5.5)

If the display shows F00, it means that no regeneration was
scheduled.
6) BLACKOUT AND LONG PERIODS
OF INACTIVITY
If a short blackout occurs, it will not cause any problem. Even
if the blackout lasts a few days, the valve is able to store the
data.
If the blackout is longer than 15 days, we recommend
checking all the settings, day and time included.
In the event of a blackout during the regeneration cycle, the
water softener will save which step it was performing before
the interruption. When the blackout ends, the interrupted step
will be restarted from the beginning.
If the water softener is non-operational for a few days, a
regeneration must be performed at the re-start.
7) MANUAL SETTINGS

7.1 MANUAL REGENERATION

To perform a manual regeneration, press the
seconds. .
When the regeneration begins, the writing "REGENERATION
OF RESINS" will appear on the display.
During the regeneration, the display will show the current step
and the time left until completion.
To skip to the next step, press and hold the
seconds.
The regeneration is made of the following 4 phases:
B1 Service mode: the machine is operational. Water from
the system comes in, and softened water comes out.
B3 Backwash: it is the quick rinse phase. Water flows in
the tank backwash, mixing and rinsing the resins and
carrying to the drain any impurities that may have formed
in the water softener during its work.
B5 Brine sucking and slow rinse: during the first part, salt
water is sucked and sent in contact with the resins, to-
gether with the hypochlorite produced by the electrodes
(fig. 10, A). At the end of this phase, a slow resin rinse is
performed.
B7 Refill and quick wash: water is sent to the brine tank in
order to melt the correct amount of salt that will be used
in the next regeneration. At the same time, a resin rinse
is performed.
During steps B3, B5 and B7 the water softener will send water
to the drain.
When the machine is in service mode, the water softener does
not send water to the drain.
Water is always supplied during regeneration.
See CHART 1, paragraph 5.4 for the duration of every step.
7.2 RETURNING TO SERVICE MODE
If you want to interrupt a regeneration and make the valve

7.3 RESIN RINSE PROGRAM
The water softener may sometimes dispense salt water, this
problem can be caused by a lack of hydric pressure during
regeneration, which prevents the water softener from being
properly rinsed.
Thanks to the resin rinse program, the tank will be emptied of
the salt water in a few minutes, and soft water will be supplied
again.
In order to star the rinse cycle:
• disconnect the power connector (fig. 9, A), press the
key and reconnect the power connector to the valve. The
writing "RESINS RINSE" will appear on the display.
The water softener will rinse the resins in Backwash mode
(B3) for 5 minutes, then will return to Service mode.
It is possible to interrupt the rinse step at any moment, pres-
+
sing the
key for 5 seconds. The water softener will inter-
rupt the cycle and will return to service mode.
This function is very useful to depressurize the tank if you
need to perform maintenance (see chapter 9, "MAINTENANCE
FOR THE INSTALLER").
8) SETTING WATER HARDNESS USING
THE MIXER
The water softener supplies hardness-free drinking water. In
some cases, however, it can be necessary to leave a residue
of hardness in the water.
By tightening the mixer screw, a small quantity of non-softe-
ned water will mix with softened water near the outlet, raising
the hardness levels of the outlet water.
The more you tighten the mixer screw (fig. 3, M) the more the
hardness levels in the outlet water will rise.
Please remember that this operation must be carried out very
carefully by the installer, who will also have to measure the
hardness of the outlet water at the end of the operation.
9) MAINTENANCE FOR THE INSTALLER
During all maintenance operations, all necessary precautions
must be adopted to preserve the hygienic integrity of the equi-
pment.
Reparations and maintenance must be carried out using ori-
ginal replacements.

9.1 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

For the equipment to work in optimal conditions, we suggest
performing the following operations periodically:
- Clean the brine with warm water and remove any sediment
from the suction pipe (fig. 1, B) every six months;
For external cleaning use a damp cloth and warm water.
Do not use detergents or other chemical substances.
- Check and clean the injector (fig. 10, B), its filter (fig. 10, C)
and the electrodes (fig. 10,A) at least once a year, following
the instructions reported below:
1. Close the water inlet and outlet taps (fig. 3, B, D)
2. Disconnect the transformer connector from the timer (fig.
9, A).
3. Insert the transformer connector in the timer (fig. 9, A) whi-
le pressing on the
+
key until the writing "RESINS RINSE"
appears on the display.
4. Wait 30 seconds then disconnect the transformer connec-
tor from the timer (fig.9, A)
5. Unscrew the caps (fig. 10, D) and remove the ejector (fig.
10, B), the filter (fig. 10, C) and the electrode holder.
6. Clean the components with water and make sure the hole
in the ejector is not blocked (fig. 10, B).
