7. INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE 5-POINT HARNESS

7.1 Removing the 5-point harness system

1. Completely loosen the car seat's 5-point belt, pressing the strap adjustment button and
pulling the chest belts at the same time, from the bottom under the protective chest
padding.
NOTES! Do not pull the straps by the protective chest padding (7-A).
2. Pull the ends of the chest belts out of the belt-tension bracket. Pull the belt height
adjustment tension device and pull the end of the chest padding fastening belt out of
the metal bar (7-B).
3. Remove the chest belts from the front of the car seat and the side protections (7-C).
4. Adjust the seat in the vertical position and release the bottom fabric fastening clip from
both sides of the seat (7-D) e (7-E).
5. Remove the seat lining, lift up the internal protective polyurethane padding. Find
the metal hip belt fastening ring. Lift the metal ring, if necessary, by pushing the buckle
through the hole located under the seat, to turn it and pull it out of the locking hole.
Repeat on the second slot. Pull the hip belt out of the internal side of the seat. Repeat this
operation to remove the other side of the hip belt (7-F).
6. Recline the seat as far as possible, find the metal buckle locking ring, turn it and lift the
buckle belt from the inside of the seat upwards (7-H).
7.2 Replacing the 5-point harness system
To replace the 5-point harness system, follow the steps in section "7.1 Removing the
5-point harness system" in reverse.
IMPORTANT: Check for correct assembly; make sure that none of the straps are twisted.
Make sure the metal rings at the ends of the lap belt and the central buckle strap are
correctly inserted and locked into the slots. Make sure that the ends of the chest straps
are correctly attached and locked into the belt tightening device.
If in doubt, contact the manufacturer.

8. REMOVING AND REPLACING THE COVER

8.1 Removing the cover
Follow the instructions from paragraph 7.1 to remove the 5-point harness.
Headrest
1. Adjust the headrest of the car seat in its highest position (8-A).
2. Grasp the elastic edge of the lining behind the headrest and remove the cover by
pulling frontwards (8-B).
Do not remove the styrofoam protection.
