Visual and sound indicators
Transmission status display 20: Appears during
transmission (if the volume is sufficient) and dis-
appears, when the transmitter switches to non-
working condition due to absence of sounds.
Channel number display 3: Shows which chan-
nel is selected and must be the same for both
appliances.
Battery status display 4: Shows the level of
charge left in the battery. When the battery is
almost run down, only the lower bar still blinks.
Range control 15: Appears with correct recep-
tion. Blinks when the transmitter is switched off
or has been moved too far away - or if different
channels have been set for transmitter and
receiver.
Warning sound at the receiver: Sounds when
you have moved out of range with the receiver.
LED luminous band 16: Indicates the volume of
the transmitted sounds. The louder the sound,
the more segments light up. With the luminous
band display continued visual transmission of
sounds continues to be guaranteed even if the
receiver is in a noisy room or the volume
control 17 is set low. Please ensure that you do
not turn the switch until it clicks as this would
switch off the receiver. At the lowest setting you
no longer hear any sound, but you can still see
the level of the transmitted sound on the lumi-
nous band display of the receiver.
Fastening Clip
You can remove the practical fastening clip 9:
1. Remove the side part 10 by loosening the
screw 11.

2. Slide the battery compartment cover 12
downwards.
3. Push the fastening clip 9 out of the battery
compartment lid 12. To do this, the small lock-
ing lash must be slightly lifted.
4. Push the battery compartment cover 12
back onto the appliance.
5. Screw the side part back.
User Tips
The quality of reception depends on the level of
output of the batteries. The better the batteries,
the better the transmission. The best trans-
mission is achieved with the mains adaptors.
For continuous operation we recommend that
you use the mains adaptors.
The NUK Babyphone is a radio set using fre-
quencies which are authorised for private radio
transmissions. For this reason interference may
be caused by other radio sets. Hiss or inter-
ference can therefore not be ruled out. Trans-
mission can also be disrupted or restricted by
other equipment or reinforced concrete walls.
In such a case, the fault does not lie with your
NUK Babyphone. Do try to get round the inter-
ference by switching to another of the 64 chan-
nels. Please make sure that the transmitter and
receiver always show the same channel in the
channel display 3.
If the transmitter and receiver are too close to
each other, feedback can occur (loud whistle).
