9 Troubleshooting
8.1.1 Changing the cutter
The service life of the cutter is approx. 20,000 cuts. This number is an approximate value and was
determined during experimental setup by means of a 1.0 mm steel wire (type SG 2). Deviations are possible
in case of other wire electrodes.
1 Carefully unscrew the cover and lubricating nipple.
2 Unscrew and replace the cutters.
3 Screw on the cover again.
4 Check the fixed jaws for wear; reverse or replace if necessary.
8.2 Monthly cleaning
A monthly basic cleaning is recommended, and necessary in case of extreme working conditions.
