Cleaning and maintenance

It is essential to carry out maintanance works regu-
larly to ensure proper and safe operation.
You do not need any tools to reassemble the
■
device.
Do not use mere force. Check the device for
■
proper functioning without inserted pin after
reassambly.
Wear protective gloves.
Warning
Never dismantle the device with car-
tridges inserted.
Leave the device to cool down before
performing maintenance work.
Weekly maintenance (fig. IV-V)
Remove the cartridge strip.
■
Screw off the magazine kit [1] or the single shot
■
kit [2] (turn in counter-clockwise direction).
Remove the piston unit [10-12].
■
Screw off the knurled union nut.
■
Remove the piston sleeve [13].
■
Check
1. The piston spring [10] for correct length
and wear and tear by comparing the piston
spring [10] with the markings [14],[15] on the
housing. If the piston spring is not as long as the
marking, replace it.
2. The front part of the piston [12]. Replace the pis-
ton [12] if it is damaged or not straight anymore.
Thoroughly clean all steel surfaces inside and
■
outside from carbon traces
Lubricate all inner steel components lightly and
■
wipe off excess oil.
Assembly is done in reverse order:
Insert the piston sleeve [13] in the housing
■
as shown. Make sure that the groove in the
piston sleeve [17] matches the seam of the
housing [16]. Then, tighten the knurled union
nut hand-tight.
Slide the damping ring [11] on the piston.
■
Slide the piston spring [10] on the piston [12].
■
Insert the piston unit [10-12] in the piston
■
sleeve [13].
Screw on the magazine kit [1] or the single shot
■
kit [2].
Note
Screw on the magazine kit [1] to the stop; then turn
it back by 90°.
Perform a functional check.
