Adjusting the guide rods for con-
stant cutting depth (see figures G
and H)
The saw blade should have a constant cutting depth
along the full length of the saw table and must not
touch the fixed table at the rear of the slot or at the front
of the rotating arm. Therefore, the guide rods must run
exactly parallel to the saw table when the saw head is
fully pushed down.
Actuate the lever for locking the handle 3.
In the rear position, push the saw head down and
measure the clearance between the rotating table 14
and bottom side of the outer flange 5.
Loosen lock bolt 18.
Push down and hold the saw head, and pull it com-
pletely alongside the saw table insert 11.
Measure the clearance again. Both measured values
should correspond.
If adjustment is required, proceed as fol-
lows:
Loosen the lock nut 36 in the bracket 38 below the
upper sawdust ejector 34 and adjust screw 37 in small
steps, as required.
After adjusting, tighten the lock nut 36 again.
 Always check that the saw blade does
not touch the table at the rear of the saw-
ing slot or at the front of the rotating arm
at 90° and 45° cutting angles. Do not
switch the saw ON before having
checked this.
Checking/adjusting the angle
between saw blade and fence (see
figures J and K)
Loosen the mitre clamping knob 13 by turning in anti-
clockwise direction.
Push the saw head down and secure it in this position
with the locking knob of the transport safety-lock 23.
Pull the mitre arm 12 up and turn the saw head so that
it engages at 0°. Do not tighten the mitre clamping
knob 13 yet.
Check that the two 0° markings 39 on the scale 15
are just visible.
Place an angle gauge 41 against the left side of the
fence 16 and the saw blade 8.
Do not touch the tips of the blade teeth with the angle
gauge.
If the angle between the saw blade and the
fence is not exactly 90°:
Loosen the three screws 40 and move the scale left-
ward or rightward until the saw blade is at an exact
right angle to the fence.
Tighten the mitre clamping knob 13.
Tighten the three screws 40.
Checking/adjusting the angle
between saw blade and rotating
table (see figures L and M)
Check that the saw head is set to the 0° mitre position
and locked.
Release lock lever 20 by pushing it down.
Press the saw head to the right to ensure it is fully verti-
cal and tighten lock lever 20 again.
Place an angle gauge 41 on the rotating table 14 and
vertically against the saw blade 8.
Do not touch the tips of the blade teeth with the angle
gauge.
If adjustment is required, proceed as fol-
lows:
Release lock lever 20.
Using an Allen key, turn screw 43 in or out to adjust the
vertical position, until the saw blade is at a 90° angle
to the rotating table.
Check if the mark 46 on scale 21 indicates 0°.
If not, loosen the two screws 43, adjust scale 21 as
required and tighten the two screws again.
Checking/adjusting the bevel angle
(see figure N)
The machine is equipped with an adjustable bevel
angle stop screw 44, which can be set to a maximum
angle of 45° or 48°: pulled out = 48°, pressed in =
45°
Release lock lever 20.
Move the saw head to the left to its maximum bevel
position.
Check that the angle is exactly 45° using a protractor.
If required, screw the bevel adjustment screw 44 in or
out until 45° are reached.
While adjusting, it is advisable to take the weight of the
saw head by holding it, so that the adjustment screw is
relieved and easier to turn.
