4.3 Initial Cleaning
Debris in the coffee machine can distort the taste of the coffee that
is prepared first. Therefore, it is important to clean the appliance
thoroughly before its first use.
NB.
The coffee prepared during the first use of the appliance
cannot be used and must be disposed of.
1.
Fill the coffee machine up to the highest mark with cold water.
2.
Attach the filter disk and the riser tube onto the filter attach-
ment (see chapter 5.2 "Preparing the coffee").
3.
Put 2-3 cups of coffee powder into the filter
4.
Close the lid.
5.
Press the on/off switch.
The coffee machine will begin to brew the coffee automatically.
6.
After the coffee has finished brewing, press the on/off switch.
The coffee machine will turn itself off.
7.
Dispose of the prepared coffee.
Preparation of the Coffee
5.1 Measuring the coffee powder
ATTENTION
Pay attention to the fact that the lowest possible amount
that the coffee machine can be filled is about 15 cups (2
litres) The markings inside the machine, show the level to
which it has been filled.
If the machine is not filled to this level, the brewing pro-
cess does not begin.
NB
You can add different amounts of coffee powder to match
your own personal taste.
If you use more coffee powder, the coffee will be stronger,
if you use less coffee powder, the coffee will be weaker.

5.2 Preparing the coffee
WARNING
During the brewing process, the parts of the machine heat
up to a temperature of up to 90°C and can lead to severe
burns if used inappropriately.
• Touch only the handles of the coffee machine when it is
hot.
Fill the appliance with water as follows:
Fill the coffee container at least to the lower and at most to the hig-
her mark (see Chapter 5.1 „ Measuring the coffee powder ").

Open the lid
2.
Remove the filter attachment and the standpipe.
3.
Fill the coffee container with cold water up to the higher mark.
Attach the CNS-Sheet filter as follows:

Wet the CNS-sheet filter under running water.
This causes a strong adhesion of the coffee powder to the sheet
filter.
