3. General information
If this unit is operated in Germany, the
"Directives for liquid spraying devices"
issued by the Hauptverband der
gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaft apply,
available from Carl Heymanns-Verlag,
Luxemburger Strasse 449, 50939 Cologne,
http://www.heymanns.com.
The regulations for the prevention of
accidents (BGV D15) "Working with liquid
spraying devices" also applies. A technician
must check high-pressure jet devices in
accordance with these directives at least
every 12 months and record the result in
writing.
The continuous-flow heater is a fuel-burning
furnace. Fuel-burning furnaces must be
checked annually by the official district
chimney-sweep to ensure that the emission
limits are not exceeded. (German Ordinance
on the Implementation of the Federal
Emission Protection Statute)
If the system is operated in an enclosed
space, measures must be taken to ensure
that the exhaust gases are discharged
safely (exhaust gas flue with draught
interruption). Furthermore, there must be an
adequate supply of fresh air.
4. Places Of Work
The main place of work is at the instrument
panel. Further places of work are – depending
on the system configuration – at the location of
the accessory equipment (spraying devices),
that are connected to the system taps.
5. Personal Protective Equipment
When cleaning objects that generate
a lot of noise, wear a suitable protective
device to prevent lasting damage to
your hearing.
Wear water-repellent clothing to protect
against water from the spray.

6. Intended Usage
This unit employs a freely discharged water jet
to remove dirt from the surface of various
objects. It is primarily used to clean machinery,
vehicles and building fronts.
7. Function
Cold water is passed via the motor cooling coils
and the float container to the intake side of the
high-pressure pump. Softener is applied to the
water in the float container. The pump conveys
water and the detergent which has also been
drawn in, through the continuous-flow heater.
The amount of detergent in the water can be
adjusted by means of a metering valve. The
continuous-flow heater contains an oil burner.
The system high-pressure output is connected
to a network of high-pressure lines that are part
of the building structure. Each hand gun is
connected to a tap point in this network by
means of a high-pressure hose.
