2. Safety Devices
Low-water sensor
The low-water sensor prevents the burner from
overheating if there is insufficient water. The
burner only functions when there is an
adequate supply of water.
Pressure switch
The pressure switch turns the unit off if the
operating pressure is exceeded. The setting is
not to be altered.
Safety valve
The safety valve opens if there is a fault with
the pressure valve. This valve has been
adjusted and sealed in the factory. The setting
is not to be altered.
Flame monitor
If there is no fuel, or a burner fault occurs, the
flame monitor switches the burner off. The
Flame Monitor indicator light (E) illuminates.
Overload protection
If the burner motor is blocked, the overload
circuit-breaker is actuated.
The motor of the high-pressure pump is
safeguarded with a motor circuit-breaker
and a winding circuit-breaker.
Exhaust gas thermostat
The exhaust gas thermostat is actuated if the
exhaust gas temperature exceeds 320 °C.
The flame Monitor indicator light (E) flashes.
