RWS FUNCTION

8.1 Dip-Switch regulation

RWS function: Dip Switch 2 ON

8.2 RWS operation

The RWS function is used for managing and
distributing rainwater.
The unit detects the lack of water in the collection
system of both rainwater and mains water and
makes
the
corrections
operation of the system.
The main aim is to give priority to the consumption
of rainwater rather than mains water.
The connection between the rainwater collection
tank and the mains water tank is selected by a 3-
way valve installed on the intake of the pump,
controlled by the optional relay (see paragraph 5-2 –
ref.9-10).
8.3 Intervention against dry operation
with external input inactive
Dip Switch 6 OFF
At the first intervention against dry operation, which
occurs when the rainwater in the collection tank is
insufficient, the unit passes to the mains water
supply by means of the optional relay (which
switches the 3-way valve installed on intake).
8.4 Intervention against dry operation
with external input active
Dip Switch 6 ON
At the first intervention against dry operation, which
occurs when float closes due to lack of water in the
rainwater collection tank, the unit passes to the
mains water supply by means of the optional relay
(which switches the 3-way valve installed on intake).
The supply returns to the rainwater collection tank
only when the flow of water is restored and the float
contact opens again.

8.5 Checking the system

Cyclically every 12 hours the optional relay
switches the 3-way valve on intake to the rainwater
collection tank to check the presence of water. If the
water in the tank runs out after 2 minutes' operation,
the unit passes directly to the mains water supply.
Once a week, during the first start of the system, it
completely changes the water in the mains water
collection tank to ensure greater hygiene.

PRESSURE BOOSTING FUNCTION

Start and Stop Pressure regulation

9.1 Dip-Switch regulation
Pressure boosting function: Dip Switch 1 ON
Dip-Switch regulation:
9.2
for choosing pressure values
Start pressure from 1.5 to 6 bar: Dip Switch 3 OFF
Start pressure from 3.5 to 8 bar: Dip Switch 3 ON
correct

Single Pump regulation

The Start Pressure can be regulated with the
regulating Trimmer (see paragraph 5.2 - ref.1) on the
front control panel, located on the cover of the Active
System.
The Stop Pressure is always set 1 bar higher than the
Start pressure.
The pump will stop when the Stop pressure is reached
or when the pump flow is lower than the value of 2-3
litres/min. (the green led will be lit with a fixed light).
Regulation of sets of 2 pumps
The Start Pressure can be regulated with the
regulating Trimmer (see paragraph 5.2 - ref.1) on the
front control panel, located on the cover of the Active
System of the MASTER pump.
Instead the Stop Pressure is regulated with the
regulating Trimmer (see paragraph 5.2 - ref.1) on the
front control panel, located on the cover of the Active
System of the SLAVE pump as a percentage (between
10% and 55%) of the Start Pressure value set on the
Master pump.
The Master pump will start when the pressure in the
system is ≤ than the set Start Pressure.
Instead the Slave pump will start when the pressure in
the system is equal to the value of the Start pressure
minus half the DP value (Difference in Pressure
between the stop pressure and the start pressure of the
set).
32
Attention! Never let the Stop Pressure
exceed the Max. pressure contemplated
by the pump (see technical data plate)!
Otherwise the system could activate the
alarm against dry operation!
Attention!
The Start Pressure is always regulated by
the MASTER pump.
Instead the Stop Pressure is always
regulated by the SLAVE pump for the
whole Set.
