SETTING THE ROTATION SPEED
By pressing the on/off switch, you can set the ro-
tation speed during idle operation. The optimal
rotation speed depends on the material drilled,
the operation mode, and the inserted drill.
Light pressure on the on/off button:
Low rotation speed is intended for:
Small/short screws, soft working materials.
Greater pressure on the on/off button: higher
rotation speed, designated for: large/long
screws, hard working materials.
NOTE: To prevent the cracking of drill holes (e.g.
when drilling tiles), drill holes first with low
rotation speed and then increase it. The drill is
then easier to control and will not slip.
SELECTING THE ROTATION DIRECTION
• Do not set the left/right spin selector during
drilling.
• The rotation direction is always according to
the switch position.
• Switch position R:
Right-rotation/forward/clockwise. To drill and
to screw in screws, push the right/left reversible
spin selector all the way to the right.
• Switch position L:
Left-rotation/backward/counter-clockwise.
To loosen or pull out screws and nuts, the right/
left reversible spin selector to the left.
COOLING THE MOTOR
If the motor has intensely overheated, allow it
to run idle for 2 to 3 minutes on maximum rota-
tion speed.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Before each use, inspect the
hammer drill, ON/OFF trigger switch, and cord
for any damaged, missing, or worn parts. Check
for loose screws, misalignment or binding of
moving parts, or any other condition that may
affect the operation. If abnormal vibration or
noise occurs, turn the tool off immediately, and
have the problem corrected before further use.
WARNING: Before cleaning or performing
any maintenance, the tool should be unplugged
from the power supply. Using compressed air
may be the most effective cleaning method.
Always wear safety goggles when cleaning tools
with compressed air.
WARNING: Do not let brake fluid, gasoline,
petroleum-based products, penetrating oil,
etc., come in contact with plastic parts. These
substances contain chemicals that can damage,
weaken or destroy plastic.
