Electrical installation
Use cable materials made of copper wire which
can withstand temperatures up to 75 °C,
Tighten the terminal screws with 0.6–0.8 Nm,
Ensure that suitable snubber circuits are installed
for all output contacts to handle capacitive and
inductive loads,
On the usage of a common power supply, all
inductive and capacitive loads connected to the
power supply (e.g. contactors) are to be fitted with
appropriate interference suppressors,
Extend connecting cable of read heads only with
plug connectors which comply with EMC
guidelines; intermediate terminals must not be
used; the cable screens must not make contact
with the chassis ground (e.g. via the plug case) or
other electrical conductors,
Connect the screen of the connecting cable of the
read heads to the corresponding terminal SH1...4
of the safety evaluation device and keep the strip-
ped cable length to a minimum (max. 30 mm),
For manual reset, connect RESET button to
terminal S,
If external device monitoring is selected,
terminals Y1 and Y2 must be connected.
The sensor connections (H1a/H1b...H2a/H2b or
H1a/H1b...H4a/H4b) are not short-circuit-proof.
