Testing and replacing the (magnesium) protective anode (6.3)
Proceed as follows:
•
Switch the system so that it is potential-free and disconnect
all poles from the mains.
•
Allow the collectors to cool if necessary.
•
Section off the domestic hot water area at the isolation
valves 6.12a/b.

Check the protective anode
After construction, visually check the protective anode. If the
protective anode is worn or faulty, replace it with a new one
.
External current anode
External current anode
Install the external current anode in the same way as the
normal protective anode. Prepare the external current anode
for operation and operate it as described in the installation/
operating instructions for "External current anode".
Only start up the external current anode when the storage
cylinder is full.
Environmental requirements
When servicing or decommissioning the
storage cylinder, observe the environmental
requirements with regard to recycling, re-use
and disposal of operating materials and com-
ponents in accordance with the local, coun-
try-specific and international current technical
regulations and official regulations.

Decommissioning:
Proceed as follows:
•
Switch the system so that it is potential-free and discon-
nect all poles from the mains. Allow the installation to cool
if necessary.
•
Drain the solar circuit in accordance with the installation/
operating instructions for "Solar station".
•
Drain the heating circuit in accordance with the installation/
operating instructions from the boiler manufacturer.
•
Drain the domestic hot water area (see page 11).
