Filling
All installation work on the solar, heating and domestic hot
water system must be completed before commissioning.
Test for leaks before commissioning the solar, heating and
domestic hot water system. Seal off any leaks.
Filling the domestic hot water system
Fill the domestic hot water area using the isolating valve for
the domestic hot water area.
•
Open a draw-off point.
•
Open the isolating valve for the domestic hot water area.
•
Close the draw-off point as soon as water starts to come
out.
Filling the solar circuit
Warning! Danger of being scalded by hot
collectors. Maximum temperature of collec-
tors during filling/testing for leaks or installa-
tion/maintenance work is 70 .
Allow collectors time to cool down if neces-
sary.
Use the Schüco filling station to fill the solar circuit in accord-
ance with the installation/operating instructions for the solar
station/filling station.
Safety valves
After filling the storage cylinder, check that the "domestic hot
water area", "heating circuit" and "solar circuit" safety valves
are working correctly (see installation/operating instructions
for "Safety valve").
Affix a sign to the safety valve for the domes-
tic hot water area with the following informa-
tion:
For safety reasons, water must be able to
escape from the safety valve
Do not seal the pipes to the safety valve
and do not fit with cut-off facility.

during heating.
Observe the filling sequence (so that the solar circuit can
release heat absorbed during filling/testing for leaks into the
domestic hot water supply).
1. Domestic hot water area
2. Heating/auxiliary heating
3. Solar circuit
Filling the heating circuit
Fill the heating circuit as per the installation/operating instruc-
tions from the heating manufacturer until the operating pres-
sure of the heating system is reached. Deaerate the heating
circuit completely.
Do not start to operate the heating until the
domestic hot water area and the solar circuit
have been filled in accordance with the in-
stallation and operating instructions from the
heating manufacturer.
Do not allow the solar fluid to pollute the
environment. Dispose of any old solar fluid in
accordance with the manufacturer's instruc-
tions. When servicing or decommissioning
the combination storage cylinder, observe
the environmental requirements with regard
to recycling, re-use and disposal of operat-
ing materials and components in accordance
with the local, country-specific and inter-
national current technical regulations and
official regulations.
Commissioning
Connect the power supply to all the electrical devices in ac-
cordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Monitor the system when it is switched on for the first time.
