• Sawing off larger branches:
For controlled sawing in the case of
larger branches, start by selecting a
relief cut. To do this, saw a notch (a)
in the lower third of the branch (with
the top side of the blade). Then saw
towards the first cut (b) from top to
bottom (with the bottom side of the
blade).
Sawing off in parts:
•
Saw off large/long branches in sec-
tions to give you control over the im-
pact location.
• Start by sawing off the lower branches
on the tree in order to facilitate falling
of the cut branches.
• After finishing the cut, the weight of
the saw suddenly increases for the
operator, as the saw is no longer sup-
ported on the branch. There is a risk of
losing control over the equipment.
• Pull the saw out of the cut only with
the saw chain running, in order to
avoid jamming.
• Do not saw with the tip of the cutting
equipment.
• Do not saw in the most rubbery
branches, as this inhibits the tissue re-
pair of the tree.

Transport

• Transport instructions for securing the
machine during transport to prevent
loss of fuel, damage or injury
• Ensure that the equipment is switched
off when changing locations and that
fingers do not touch the on/off switch.
• Carry the equipment by the telescopic
handle with the chain and blade point-
ing backward.
• Attach the chain guard for transporting
and storing the equipment.

Maintenance and cleaning

There is a risk of serious injury
in case of improper maintenance
and removal of safety devices.
Carry out maintenance and clean-
ing work strictly with the motor
switched off and the equipment
disconnected from the mains.

instructions (e.g. changing the
carbon brushes) carried out by
a specialist workshop. Use only
original replacement parts. Allow
the machine to cool before all
maintenance and cleaning work.
