4. Drill the Wall Jamb Holes
Place one of the wall jambs on a flat surface. Position the wall jamb with the grooved side face up.
Along the center groove, mark a pilot hole 3" (7.6 cm) from each end of the wall jamb.
Determine the centerpoint of the wall jamb. Mark a third pilot hole 3" from the centerpoint.
Use a 3/16" drill bit to drill holes at each pilot hole mark.
Repeat with the second wall jamb.
