Ensure that the swivel pin is securely engaged
■
so that the nailer works correctly.
Connect the nailer to the air supply.
■
Hold the nailer securely by the handle.
■
Place the mouth of the nailer on the workpiece
■
surface and press against the workpiece
contact.
Press the trigger.
■
Before the next shot, wait until the work cycle is
■
fully completed.
Mode B: Contact trigger (fig. III)
Contact activation permits very quick, repeating
work cycles.
Press and hold the trigger.
■
Place the mouth of the nailer on the workpiece
■
surface and press against the workpiece
contact.
The work cycle is executed automatically.
■
Before the next shot wait until the work cycle is
■
fully completed.
Keep the trigger depressed.
■
Place the mouth of the nailer on the workpiece
■
surface in a new position and press against the
workpiece contact.
3 The next work cycle executes.
Adjusting the air pressure
The necessary air pressure depends on the size of
the fasteners and the workpiece material.
Set the air pressure to about 6.5 bar and to test
■
fire a few fasteners into a material similar to the
workpiece material.
Adjust the air pressure until the lowest setting is
■
found that yields consistent results.
If necessary, a fine adjustment can be under-
■
taken using the nailer depth setting.
Depth adjustment (fig. IV)
The penetration depth of the fasteners can be
adjusted.
Disconnect the nailer from the air supply.
■
Turn the depth adjuster [4] to the left or right to
■
change the penetration depth.
Reconnect the nailer to the compressed air
■
supply.
Removing fasteners from the nailer
(fig. II)
Before the fasteners are removed, the
nailer must be disconnected from the
air supply.
DKN 3065 Combi (fig. II-A):
Draw back the magazine clamping lever [11]
■
and secure with the locking pin [10].
Take fasteners out from the magazine in an
■
upwards direction.
Hold the magazine clamping lever with one
■
hand and press the spring-loaded locking pin
[10] to unlock the magazine clamping lever.
Close the magazine and check for correct
■
locking.
DCN 3264 (fig. II-B):
Press the magazine closure [8] and open the
■
magazine [5].
Take the roll with fasteners out of the magazine.
■
Close the magazine and check for correct
■
locking.
Operation in cold weather
The nailer may freeze in cold weather near to or
below freezing when there is also high air humidity.
This can impair correct operation.
In cold weather, we recommend the use of a lubri-
cant for compressed air equipment or an antifreeze
agent (ethylene glycol).
The formation of frost or ice on valves and moving
parts of the nailer can lead to its failure.
Do not store the nailer in a cold environment!
Troubleshooting (fig. V)
Prior to troubleshooting, the nailer must
be disconnected from the air supply.
Open the magazine as described and remove
■
fasteners.
Use a suitable screwdriver to press the drive
■
mechanism back and remove bent fasteners.
With the DKN 3065 Combi carefully open the
■
clamping bracket [13], so that it is possible to
remove jammed fasteners in the workpiece con-
tact unit. Reconnect the nailer to the compressed
air supply.
Load the magazine with fasteners. Close and
■
lock the magazine as described.
