Warning! The vibration emission value during
actual use of the power tool can differ from the
declared value depending on the ways in which
the tool is used. The vibration level may increase
above the level stated.
When assessing vibration exposure to determine safety
measures required by 2002/44/EC to protect persons
regularly using power tools in employment, an estimation of
vibration exposure should consider, the actual conditions of
use and the way the tool is used, including taking account of
all parts of the operating cycle such as the times when the tool
is switched off and when it is running idle in addition to the
trigger time.

Electrical safety
This tool is double insulated; therefore no
earth wire is required. Always check that the
power supply corresponds to the voltage on the
rating plate.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer or an authorised BLACK+DECKER Service
Centre in order to avoid a hazard.

Assembly
Warning! Before attempting any of the following
operations, make sure that the tool is switched off
and unplugged and that the saw blade has stopped.
Used saw blades may be hot.
Fitting the saw blade (Fig. A)
● Hold the tool away from the body.
● Rotate the blade clamp collar (3).
● Insert the shank of the blade (4) fully into the blade clamp
collar (3).
● Release the blade clamp collar (3) to lock the blade
into position.
● Note: The blade can be installed with the teeth up to
assist in flush cutting.

Removing the saw blade (Fig. A)
Warning! Burn hazard: Do not touch the blade
immediately after use. Contact with the blade may
result in personal injury.
● Rotate the blade clamp collar (3) to the release position.
● Remove blade (4).
Assemble shoe (Fig. A, H)

Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and disconnect it from power
source and remove the blade before making any
adjustments or removing/installing attachments
or accessories. An accidental start-up can
cause injury.
● Remove the blade.
● Push the shoe release lever (8) downwards and slide the
adjustable shoe (2) into the desired setting.
● Push the shoe release lever (8) upwards to tighten
the shoe.
● To remove the shoe, push the shoe release lever (8)
downwards and slide out the shoe.
Adjustable shoe (Fig. A)

injury, turn unit off and disconnect it from power
source and remove the blade before making any
adjustments or removing/installing attachments
or accessories. An accidental start-up can
cause injury.
● The shoe (2) will adjust to limit the depth of cut.
● Hold the saw with the underside facing up.
● Push the shoe release lever (8) downwards and slide
the shoe (2) out to the desired setting and push the shoe
release lever back into position.
Removable branch holder (Fig. A, G)

Your tool is provided with a removable branch
holder (7) to assist in cutting branches.
● Remove the blade.
● Push the shoe release lever (8) downwards and slide the
removable branch holder (7) into the desired setting..
● Push the shoe release lever (8) upwards to tighten the
removable branch holder.
● To remove the removable branch holder, push the shoe
release lever (8) downwards and slide out the removable
branch holder..
