Damage patterns

Worn or broken parts must always be studied
carefully before they are replaced. They can give
important information about the condition of the drill
and about the way it is used and maintained.
Problem
Steel parts are a bluish colour
Steel parts have small almost
microscopic fissures on the
wear surfaces
Irregular cavities on the surface
of bronze parts
Cutting marks

Storage

Always oil the rock drill well, before you put it into
storage.
Always store the machine in a clean and dry place.
Make sure that no foreign matter enters the
machine.
Protect the chuck using the plastic plug provided
with the machine. Alternatively, use a wooden plug
or a clean piece of cotton waste.
In the case of long-term storage, pour a quantity
of oil directly into the rock-drill's air intake and then
turn on the air briefly. This will protect the machine
from corrosion.
