3. Periodic checks
Nut tightening: lever, crank arm, pedals, stems. The tightening torques to be applied are as follows:
Components
Pedals on crank arms
Crank arm on bottom bracket
Steering tightness
Brake lever
Brake callipers
Seat on frame
Seat post clamp
Wheel
Luggage rack
The other tightening torques depend on the nut sizes: M4: 2.5 to 4.0 N.m., M5: 4.0 to 6.0
N.m., M6: 6.0 to 7.5 N.m. Tighten the bolts according to the required torque.
Regularly check the tyres for wear, cuts, cracks, pinching and replace the tyre if necessary, check the wheel
rims for excessive wear, warping, denting, cracks...
4. Revisions
For safety reasons and to maintain the components in a good state, you should have your bicycle revised
periodically by your distributor. Your bicycle should also undergo regular maintenance by a qualified
technician.
