The adjustment of the belt shall be done using the plastic adjustment system
mounted on the belt.
1. Pull the belt through the adjustment system to lengthen or shorten.

Moving to/from the chair
CAUTION
In case you cannot perform the transfer in a safe manner, ask someone to assist you.
Make sure that the person in the chair cannot slip out of the body/hip belt. Adjust both belts
and tilt the chair backwards to prevent this.
The parking brakes should be applied before getting into and out of the shell chair.
3.3.1
Transfer
1. Make sure that the shell chair is in upright sitting position.
2. Position the shell chair as close as possible to the person sitting in his/her chair, couch, seat
or bed.
3. Make sure that the chair stands on a flat and level ground.
4. Turn the front swivelling wheels outwards, to the front.
5. Apply the brakes, see §3.1.
6. Open the buckle of the body belt and place it aside. Do the same with the hip belt.
7. Transfer the person to/from the chair with the help of attendant(s) or lifting equipment.
3.3.2
Sitting in the chair
1. Sit down on the seat with the lower back against the backrest.
2. Make sure that the upper legs are horizontal and that the feet are in comfortable position. If
necessary, adjust the seat height (see installation manual).
3. Close the hip belt and body belt and adjust it as close as possible to the body.
3.4
Comfort adjustment (depending on version)
CAUTION
The following comfort adjustments can be done by the attendant or caretaker. All other
adjustments are done by your specialist dealer according to the installation manual.
Be sure that the shell chair does not tip over backwards when it is placed in its most backwards
position.
Always apply the brakes before performing adjustments.
