For best results, tap the trimmer head on bare ground or hard soil. If line release is
attempted in tall grass, the motor may overheat. Always keep the trimming line fully
extended. Line release becomes more difficult as the cutting line becomes shorter.
LOAD NEW CUTTING LINE
NOTICE: Always use the recommended nylon cutting line with diameter not greater
than 0.095in. (2.4mm). Using line other than that specified may cause the string
trimmer to overheat or become damaged.

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Remove the remaining cutting line,
if necessary. Simply pull it out by
hand.
3. Cut one piece of cutting line 16 ft.

eyelet. Push the line until the end
of the line comes out of the other
side of the trimmer head. Pull the
line from the other side until equal
amounts of line appear on both
sides (Fig. 8).
4. Press and rotate lower cover
assembly in the direction indicated
by the arrow to wind the cutting
line onto the spool that until
approximately 5.5 in. (14cm) of line
is showing on each side (Fig. 9).
