C. Preparing the Building for Heater Installation
• Unfold the template provided in the kit.
- Outline on template indicates full size of heater.
• Tape or tack the template to the wall surface.
• Using a level, ensure the template is level.
• Drill holes and mark stud locations (if appropriate) for mounting brackets where indicated
on the template.
• Remove the template.
• Draw lines connecting the four holes.
• Cut the duct opening.
- The opening allows for ½ in. (12.7 mm) clearance on all sides of the duct.
Section D: Mounting the Heater and Completion
1.
After the duct hole has been cut, center the wall brackets at appropriate loca-
tions. Position the brackets so the holed mounting flanges are pointing in opposite
directions. See Fig. 13. Temporarily attach the brackets with nails at upper holes, (if
supplied on bracket). See Fig. 13.
