A pply a heavy bead of sealant all the way around the inside corner of the mounting flange. See Fig. 7.

P osition duct into mounting flange so dampers lift up and away from blower outlet. Push duct firmly
against flange. Attach duct to flange using 3/8 in. sheet metal screws at flange sides. See Figs. 8 and 9.
