MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Correct maintenance and suitable storage of your PPE will ensure that the product
lasts longer while guaranteeing your safety; comply with these recommendations to
the letter:
Clean with mild soap and water to remove dust and oil. Never use acids or alkaline
solvents.
Never lubricate the outside parts of the turnbuckle or parts in contact with the
rope.
Allow to dry in a ventilated place, naturally, in the shade and well away from any
direct fire or any other source of heat. Store indoors away from damp and
ultraviolet rays, keeping equipment off the floor.
Avoid corrosive, overheated or refrigerated atmospheres.

EN xxx : European standard applicable to this PPE followed by the class type,
Product reference
Serial number
CE xxxx: EC logo followed by the number of the notified organisation,
Week and year of manufacture.
ASSEMBLY
The temporary horizontal lifeline is to be attached to an anchorage point with a rigid
structure preventing it from sliding.
a)
Lift the release lever (A) and connect each end of the lifeline to the
anchorage point. (1) & (2)
b)
Swivel the release lever toward the rope (3)
c)
Pull the slack length of the rope to remove as much sag as possible. (4)
d)
Turn the ratchet wheel with the tension bar in the direction of the arrow until the
rope begins to skid on the wheel. (5)
DISASSEMBLY

Raise the release lever with the tension bar to slacken off the lifeline after
use. (6) & (7)
