IMPORTANT: The residual heat indicator will disappear if the mains supply to the product is cut.
IT IS STILL POSSIBLE TO BURN YOURSELF ON A HOB ZONE, EVEN WHEN THE RESIDUAL
HEAT INDICATOR HAS GONE OUT. USE CAUTION WHEN USING THE HOB.
Safety cut-off
The hob has a safety cut-off timer which will activate after 1 hour. This is a safety feature which is designed
to reduce the risks involved if the hob is accidently left on.
After one hour of the hob being in use, but not touched or adjusted, then the hob will automatically turn off.
IMPORTANT: This should not be used as a timer. Never leave cooking food unattended.
Locking the hob top
The whole hob top can be locked by pressing the safety lock button (1) for 3 seconds whilst
the appliance is switched on.
The LED above the safety lock button will light to indicate that the safety lock feature has
been activated.
When the safety lock has been switched on, it will disable any of the other buttons on the control panel,
apart from the safety lock button (1).
To disable the safety lock feature, you should press the safety lock button (1) again for 3 seconds. The
safety lock LED will disappear from the control panel (5) and you are then able to adjust the power of
any zone on the hob top.
After a zone is switched off, the corresponding cooking zone indicator (9) will show a
flashing letter "H". This means that the temperature of the zone could still be high
enough to cause injury. The letter "H" will go out after a set period of time:
