7. Connections
7.1. AUX IN mode
The A U X I N socket allows you to connect external playback devices with a built-
in amplifier (such as a CD player or MP3 player) to the party speaker.
Switch the party speaker to standby mode first by pressing the
Switch off your external device.
Plug the end of a 3.5 mm jack cable (not supplied with the device) into the
A U X I N socket on the party speaker.
Connect the other end of the cord to your external device.
Switch on your external device.
Switch on the party speaker by pressing the
Press the S O U R C E button several times until you see AUX in the display.
Start audio playback on your external device.
The audio signal from your external device will now be played through the party
speaker.
Playback is controlled via the corresponding buttons on the party speaker (see "10.
Playback control" on page 50).
7.2. USB mode
Insert the USB memory device into the USB port.
Press the S O U R C E button until you see USB in the display.
Audio playback starts automatically.

When connecting USB memory devices, observe the following
instructions:
•
Due to the numerous different file systems and file formats, the connected
storage media cannot be guaranteed to function.
•
Depending on the size of the data medium, it may take some time for the
system to be detected.
•
Supported file systems are FAT16 and FAT32. The supported file format is MP3.
•
External hard disks are not supported.
