FAULT
The motor does not turn
The motor turns but no flame
is formed causing a
locking stop
The burner starts. A flame is
formed but then the burner
stops
The flame is irregular and
short with sparks
The flame is smoky

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBABLE CAUSE
No electrical power
a) No discharge to the electrodes
b) Nozzle blocked
c) No fuel arrives
a) Photoresistant cell dirty
b) Nozzle atomises badly
a) Nozzle atomises badly
b) Pump pressure too low
c) Water in diesel oil
a) Nozzle atomises badly
b) Little combustion air
REMEDY
a) Check the fuses
b) Check the thermostats
(ambient, boiler, safety)
a) Check the correct position of
the tips and clean
b) Clean or replace the nozzle
c) Check the diesel oil level in the
tank. Check that no gate
valves are closed along the
diesel oil line
a) Clean the photoresistant cell
b) Clean or replace the nozzle
a) Clean or replace the nozzle
b) Check and increase the
pressure
c) Drain the water from the tank
and clean the filters
a) Clean or replace the nozzle
b) Check that the air valve opens
regularly. Check that the fan
is not dirty
